IOW Mixed
Doubles Open
Ryde Mead Tennis Club are proud to be hosts of the annual mixed doubles
open. Entries are open to any tennis players not just those from the
Isle of Wight.
Players are seeded and the tournament is held on one day only.
The date for 2007 is Sat 19 - 20th May.
If you are not resident on the Isle of Wight, and would like to enter
this tournament please email- info@rydemead.co.uk for an application
form and further details. A partner can be sought if required.
Trophies are awarded for this tournament.
Fun ‘
American Tournaments'
These fun and social tournaments are held several times a year.
Entry is for both male and female players of any ability.
Players are not required to find a partner to enter.
Please check the notice board for future dates.
Club
‘closed tournament’
This tournament is for players who still want to have fun, but have
a more competitive streak.
Entries are for ladies singles and doubles, men’s singles and
doubles and mixed doubles. Entry is restricted to members of Ryde
Mead Tennis Club.
Players are seeded in the draw.
Matches are played from June 19 2006 to July 23 2006 (Finals Day). Trophies are awarded for this tournament.
DAVIS CUP DAY - New for 2006
This is a closed tournament for Ryde Mead members only. Entrants are divided into teams which then play matches comprising -singles- mixed doubles - ladies doubles - mens doubles.
Tournament will me on Sunday September 17th.
Junior
tournaments
Club officials organise the junior tournaments, usually during the
school holidays or at weekends.
Entries are grouped according to the children’s ages. Details
can be found on the coaches' section of the notice board.
