The Tennis Courts
We are proud to have 5 newly re-surfaced hard courts. The courts
painted in green/light green were completed in summer 2002. Three
of the five courts have floodlighting. The floodlighting is available
from dusk until 22.00hrs Monday to Saturday. The floodlights are
operated by tokens, which can be purchased from committee members
or from the Tuck Shop in the Clubhouse. Each token costs £1.50
and gives a playing time of 23 minutes. Practice
Net/Ball Machine
A rebound practice net is situated down on the courts and
is available for use at any time.
A ball delivery machine is available to use during ‘quiet’
times at the club. Please speak to one of the club coaches for information
on how to use the machine. Please note, use is restricted to over
16’s only unless closely supervised by an adult. Clubhouse
The tennis club has a ‘character filled’ clubhouse, situated
in an elevated position overlooking the 5 tennis courts and views
across the Solent. It comprises a changing area, sitting area for
approximately 25 members and a kitchen. Men's and ladies WCs are located
close to the clubhouse.
A tuck
shop is within the kitchen area and a selection of hot and cold drinks,
chocolates, snacks and accessories (tennis balls and floodlight tokens)
can be purchased
